Naturally brewed soy sauce, shoyu or tamari sold as the product
Alcool de fermentation : la sauce soja brassée naturellement (shoyu, tamari) contient de l'alcool qui se forme pendant la fermentation (Kikkoman indique plus de 2 % d'alcool en volume), même si l'étiquette n'indique que de l'eau, du soja, du blé et du sel. Darul Fatwa considère l'alcool comme impur (najis), mais ne s'est pas prononcé sur l'alcool qui se forme dans un aliment pendant sa fermentation : la sauce soja vendue comme produit est donc douteuse (élevé). La sauce soja certifiée halal, fabriquée sans que de l'alcool se forme, est halal.
